The Senior Project Manager/Senior Job Captain leads and manages Contract Documentation production & Contract Administration within a design team in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the Interior Design process. Coordinates with designers to provide technical solutions for design challenges. Reviews documentation to ensure compliance with firm standards and leads coordination with AOR/MEP/ADA requirements. Responsible for leading contract administration phase alongside Senior Project Designer/Project Designers. Responsible for Quality Assurance / Quality Control of projects with focus on general construction and custom design elements of design. With an emphasis on executing design intent, mentors junior and intermediate designers.

A Senior Project Manager/Senior Job Captain collaborates with Project Designers in all phases of design and leads Contract Documentation and Construction Administration phases in conjunction with departmental leadership.

Requirements

 

EDUCATION
Graduate of architecture or Design school: equivalent experience may be substituted.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years in Hospitality/Commercial/Multi-family Interior Design
  • Experienced in hospitality/commercial/multi-family interior design projects. Hospitality preferred.
  • Architect, Interior Architect, or Interior Designer

  • Complete comprehensive project tasks efficiently in a prescribed time frame with minimal feedback from departmental leadership
  • Willing and able to lead one or more project teams
  • Strong experience mentoring, directing and motivating design staff within the studio and project teams
  • Knowledge of Brands/Brand Standards preferred.

JOB REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Advanced documentation and field observation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of CDs and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of custom millwork and feature details
  • Advanced knowledge of Contract Administration process, procedures, execution of implementation tasks.
  • Advanced Revit skills
  • Advanced AutoCAD skill required.
  • Advanced knowledge of millwork and construction details
  • Deep understanding of construction cost and scope impact.
  • Advanced knowledge in architectural and hospitality grade finishes.
  • Advanced knowledge in plumbing fixtures, fittings and decorative hardware.
  • Able to lead Quality Control for CDs
  • Able to manage project tasks in accordance with project schedules.
  • Advanced experience working with project budgets
  • Assist in maintaining departmental documentation and standards
  • Advanced project management ability to plan/oversee day-to-day and monthly tasks and time as it relates to monthly hours allocated by team leader
