The role of Proposal Manager is responsible for leading and managing the process of developing and submitting business proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) and other solicitations from potential clients. The main goal of the Proposal Manager is to support in developing strategies and sales materials that effectively communicate The Gettys Group Companies capabilities, solutions, and value proposition, ultimately winning new business opportunities.

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead the proposal development process from inception to submission, ensuring compliance with the solicitation requirements and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and develop a comprehensive proposal response.
  • Conduct a thorough review of the solicitation documents, analyzing requirements, evaluation criteria, and key deliverables.
  • Develop proposal strategies and win themes to differentiate the organization from competitors.
  • Write and edit proposal content, including executive summaries, solution descriptions, technical responses, pricing details, and other sections as required.
  • Ensure the proposal is well-structured, coherent, and conveys a persuasive message to the target audience.
  • Review and refine technical and business inputs to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Proofread and edit proposal drafts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall quality.
  • Develop and incorporate creative visual elements to enhance the proposal’s visual appeal and comprehension, creating more compelling proposal presentations.
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Ensure the proposal complies with all requirements outlined in the solicitation documents.
  • Maintain a library of proposal content, templates, and reusable materials to streamline future proposal development processes and workflow.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices, tools, and technologies to streamline proposal development and increase efficiency, including use of Salesforce and Smartsheet.
  • Continuously update and refine proposal content based on lessons learned, feedback, and evolving business needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape to incorporate relevant information into proposals.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, marketing) or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years proven experience in proposal management or a similar role, preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) within the real estate and/or hospitality industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Familiarity with proposal development best practices and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM and project management software; Salesforce and Smartsheet preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications; experience with InDesign is an asset.
