Gettys | BLU served as the Interior Designers and Construction Administration to all of the public areas for The Westin Abu Dhabi. This new build was created to be the hospitality heart of the world-renowned Abu Dhabi Golf Club. The design incorporates modernity and extravagance, and includes a luxury spa along with 172 guestrooms and suites.
Soft and Soothing
The Gettys | BLU team sought to exemplify wellness, a pillar of the Westin brand. The resulting design delivers a soothing organic ambiance through texture, water features and warm-hued accents in a softly luminous space. The exteriors are emboldened with chiseled stone facades. Contemporary interiors use rusticated gold limestone and petrified and reclaimed wood. Regional cultural values are evident, and are carried through the relaxing spaces, offering beautifully expansive views for guests. Our team’s innovative work was recognized by the “2013 Best of Category: Hotels” by the International Design Association, and by the International Hotel, Motel & Restaurants Show’s (IHMRS) 2012 Gold Key Awards.
