The Gettys Group combined architectural and custom art features inspired by nature in its revitalization of the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North. For business and leisure travelers alike, we created signature elements and amenities for the Westin brand that inspire rejuvenation and promote well-being.
The Gettys Design Team kept the spaces inviting and flexible while infusing them with subtle elements inspired by Georgia’s distinctive landscape throughout the new design. Setting a pleasant and sophisticated tone for the property at its entrance, the vertical garden is a double-sided feature with integrated seating. In the lobby is a Cherokee Rose-themed carpet, and behind the front desk is a modern representation of the Georgia state tree, created with laser-cut, back-lit feature wall. The focal point of the space is a striking, custom-made, signature iron sculpture, created by local artist Andrew T. Crawford.
We built in tall floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the hotel’s picturesque views of the nearby Concourse Center’s private lake, adding to the hotel’s serene and warm atmosphere. Two communal tables draw guests into the lobby area to enjoy the views and mingle with other travelers.
In a full guestroom renovation, we opened up the room layout to create a more spacious feel with all the modern amenities a seasoned traveler would expect, including walk-in showers and chic finishes.
We also introduced an entirely new F&B concept, The Savor Bar and Kitchen. This double-sided bar has become a destination within a destination for guests and surrounding businesses. The design flows from the interior to the exterior, with a new outdoor living room on the lake.
The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North is located in one of the metro area’s busiest corporate districts. We rose to the challenge by taking an existing space and infusing it with a new sense of purpose and meaning. Its brand’s signature programs and amenities, and its peaceful lakeside location, offer a respite for travelers visiting Atlanta or the Concourse Center.
