Reporting to the Director of Branding, The Senior Creative Strategist is responsible for partnering with the rest of the creative team for the development and execution of creative concepts and executions to support The Gettys Group client projects.
The Senior Creative Strategist is a key member of the creative team, possessing a deep understanding of print and digital design, storytelling, and strategic brand creation. They are responsible for creating research-led strategy, concept development, and design development on a per-project basis. They will partner with the rest of the design team to bring concepts to life. They are comfortable explaining their ideas to members at all levels of the organization, and can understand and translate stakeholders’ business needs into beautiful and workable solutions.

Position Responsibilities
Understand clients’ creative and business goals.
Lead and/or contribute to the development of engaging brand experiences that deliver against the client goals and project objectives, including: research, market insights, brand positioning, framing opportunities for our clients and team, brand concept development, and naming
Interpret a wide range of information (client data, online search, third-party research) to frame up insight-driven solutions that will best position the project, and inspire clients and team members
Articulate and present concepts and rationale to other team members and clients, leading creative brainstorms, strategy and client presentations/workshops on a per-project basis
Work closely with Director and other designers to conceptualize, develop and design brand identities, presentation decks, mood boards, and a variety of print collateral and digital materials
Mentor and inspire design team—both internal and external resources—to appropriately execute against a project’s vision
Elevate the creative level of the work coming out of the company
Continue to refine and enhance the team’s process and deliverables
Job Requirements
Excellent communication skills including ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale to other team members and stakeholders
Confident and effective presentation skills
In-depth knowledge of/exposure to travel/hospitality industry preferred
In-depth knowledge of branding and marketing
Strong research and writing capabilities

Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of Adobe Software: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proficient knowledge of print and digital production processes
Web background, including a working knowledge of HTML and CSS a definite plus
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BFA) from a four-year accredited college or university in Fine Arts, Graphic Design/Visual Communications or related
6+ years of industry or agency experience
Hospitality and Food & Beverage experience (desired, but not a must)
Strong multi-disciplinary portfolio required
