Our Procurement Coordinator performs and fulfills a variety of procurement functions for hospitality-based Design/Procurement projects from inception through project completion. The position is instrumental in maintaining important supply chain initiatives necessary in executing successful hotel builds and renovations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support parts of or an entire project depending on scope in conjunction with team leadership
  • Understand specification translation for the purposes of bidding, budgeting and issuing Purchase Orders
  • Understand manufacturers, price points, product expediting & logistics principles
  • Initial exposure to project design specifications, supplier selection, costing, production lead times, bidding, PO issuance and expediting orders
  • Assist in negotiating pricing and lead time for products
  • Support project managers by updating weekly delivery status reports

Job Requirements

  • Existing knowledge base or ability to quickly immerse oneself in the Hospitality FF&E and OS&E categories
  • Clear, concise (legal-minded) written communication skills
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Good telephone conversationalist
  • Solid negotiating prowess
  • Attention to detail with a numbers-oriented mindset
  • Organized and thorough work style with emphasis on time management
  • Ability to resolve conflict quickly and constructively

Technical Skills

  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and proven ability to create and maintain analytical reports in Excel
  • Knowledge of Spexx/Exxpedite

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Supply Chain or Hospitality major desired
  • 0–2 years of professional experience preferred
