Designer III, Planning & Visualization Team

The Designer III may lead parts of a project or entire projects depending upon the scope in conjunction with Team Leadership.

The Designer III designs, manages, and performs within a design team in a self-directed manner in schematic design and design development of the Interior Design process including preparation of planning, visual models and renderings within an established budget with specific scheduling, site and programmatic requirements.

  • Manage and complete project tasks in accordance with project schedules

  • Complete comprehensive project tasks in an expedited time frame

  • Participate in client presentations

  • Perform Quality Control exercises on one’s own work

  • Demonstrate collaborative and professional work ethic

     

    Job Requirements

  • Excellent in Interior Planning

  • Effective experience with construction materials

  • Effective experience in developing design concepts in 3D Visualization Platforms

  • Effective understanding and knowledge of design principals, theories, and materials

  • Effective understanding of hotel brand standards

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Effective oral communication skills

  • Self-directed and motivated

     

    Technical Skills

  • Excellent in 3D Visualizations (Emphasis on SketchUp and Enscape)

  • Effective graphic skills in AutoCAD (current release preferred), InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp

  • Familiarity with Revit

     

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited or NAAB-accredited program

  • 4-6 years professional Design experience, preferably within the hospitality industry

  • Strong design portfolio required
