Business Development Manager

The primary responsibility of the role of Business Development Manager is to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive growth for the organization. You will play a crucial role in expanding The Gettys Group Companies’ client base, increasing revenue, and achieving sales targets. This position requires strong business acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Identify and Evaluate Opportunities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, target markets, and industry trends.
  • Assess the feasibility and potential profitability of new projects
  • Monitor competition and industry developments to stay informed about market dynamics and emerging trends.

Business Development:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to generate leads, acquire new clients, and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, clients, and partners.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiations, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

Relationship Development:

  • Build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning our offerings to meet those needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance and support to drive client satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement partnership strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with existing partners to maximize value and explore additional collaboration opportunities.

Reporting Analysis:

  • Track and analyze business development activities, sales performance, and market trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and presentations to the Executive Team, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Utilize and maintain CRM systems and other tools to manage client information, sales pipelines, and performance metrics.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 8-10 years proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, business principles, and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed business decisions.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM and project management software; Salesforce and Smartsheet preferred.
