Business Development Coordinator

Position Summary


The Business Development Coordinator at The Gettys Group systematizes the comprehensive pipeline of design, procurement, branding and development projects from opportunity origin to the closed sale. The Coordinator interfaces with all groups across the organization, including Leadership.




Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Communications


The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of communications experience in a sales or marketing capacity, a focus in the hospitality or AEC industry preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously and meet stringent deadlines
  • Ability to interface with multiple teams across multiple in-house companies
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI)
  • Experience with CRM and Project / Asset Management software
  • Effective web-based research capabilities, with a focus on lead generation and organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter with capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment and with minimal direction
  • Exhibit willingness to be a team player and get the job done
  • A strong understanding of professional graphics/visual presentation

Job Required Skills

  • Maintain firm’s Smartsheet and Salesforce accounts and interface with internal IT and Accounting
  • Prepare and produce customized, client-specific Proposals and Qualifications packages in response to RFPs and RFQs
  • Oversee pipeline and client list management
  • Develop and maintain project opportunity files
  • Ensure projected sales data and records are complete and accurate
  • Generate leads from online research and internal reporting, with appropriate outreach to follow up with potential clients
  • Submit qualified leads/contact information to Marketing and coordinate follow up
  • Maintain and contribute to continual process improvement of BD platforms (OpenAsset, PowerBI, SalesForce, Build Central, Deltek)
  • Coordinate directly with and manage communication across multiple teams to move project opportunities forward and meet stringent proposal deadlines
  • Collaborate with Business Development Team leaders on the creation of past and current client touchpoints to maintain relationships and grow existing business
  • Provide conference support to the Business Development Team
  • Additional responsibilities include providing support to the BD team related to client travel, client communication, client presentations/collateral
