Position Summary

Who are we looking for?

The Gettys Group Branding team is currently seeking a Creative Director to join our Chicago office in a hybrid role. This pivotal position is at the helm of the branding team, co-managing client relationships and ensuring the high-quality output of the team’s work.

Our ideal candidate is a hands-on conceptual leader who sets the standard, leads by example, and showcases strategic thinking through their portfolio.

What will this role entail?

As the leader of the Creative team and reporting to the Branding Principal, you’ll spearhead the creative vision of our projects. This involves conducting research, crafting unique stories, directing creative direction, and developing brand activations and style guides across diverse projects.

You’ll guide a team of creatives, collaborating with our interior designers to ensure that our creative strategies elevate our clients’ projects, meet business objectives, and are delivered through a guest-centric approach.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, inspire, and cultivate talent within the team.
  • Establish and nurture cross-functional team relationships.
  • Implement the department’s vision and objectives.
  • Uphold and enhance your team’s work quality standards.

  • Be willing to travel for development, market research, and inspiration.

Requirements

Skillset Required:

  • Over 10 years of experience, assessed by portfolio and professional background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, or a related discipline.
  • A hands-on, exemplary conceptual leader.
  • Extensive knowledge of brand development.
  • Business-driven passion, with a mindset for continual improvement and growth.
  • A dynamic and creative leader capable of engaging and influencing various audiences.
  • Proactive in tracking trends and tech advancements in the creative industry.
  • Exceptionally organized and self-directed.
  • Proven experience in leading a small to medium-sized team.
  • Proficiency in relevant Mac software.
  • Agile and adaptable to various creative scenarios, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
