The Gettys Group brought lavish contemporary living to a Kerry Properties residential complex with our design of its private Luxury Clubhouse. Situated in the heart of the city to a picturesque backdrop of densely packed greenery, The Kerry Properties site truly embodies the essence of Hong Kong.
The Gettys Interior Design team was involved in all phases of this project from concept to construction. We developed the design concept of “Urban Oasis”, as a tranquil environment, a place where residents can escape the daily hustle & bustle of Hong Kong and retreat to a peaceful haven at the end of their day.
We approached the design and selection of materials by considering each resident’s sonic experience and interaction within a space. We proposed natural materials with muted/earth tones to enhance the feeling of respite and serenity, juxtaposed with reflective surfaces, metal screens and fragmented geometric shapes in sculptures. All this reflects the unique relationship between nature and metropolis as experienced in Hong Kong.
Each space within the Clubhouse serves a purpose. We approached the restaurant in the clubhouse as the main focus of the space. The leaf-inspired Barrisol feature is the ‘center’ of the space. There are certain function rooms where we were able to propose a whimsical design element without compromising the luxurious overall feel: The Missoni patterned floor in the Fitness Center provides a bold statement in a dynamic space. The Relaxation room is the epitome of an Urban Oasis, with large picture windows framing the exterior landscape.
In keeping with the Kerry Properties distinct style, we implemented a streamlined approach to the interior architecture, layered with opulent finishes that are contrasting in color to elicit interest within the space. We created quiet meditative corners with sculptural platforms and feature walls where we will showcase decorative objects that highlight and support the Urban Oasis theme. The interior finishes are intentionally muted to drive the focus to the exterior environment.
