The Gettys Group worked with East Atlanta Restaurant Group to design a high-energy watering hole from a rebuild of a historic building. Situated in Atlanta Georgia’s East Atlanta Village neighborhood, the Graveyard Tavern is a two-story restaurant with the lower level serving as a music venue.
The Pulse by Gettys team designed the two-story music venue and restaurant to settle in the original bones of what was once a feed store. The team transformed the bar into a sophisticated space showcasing the exposed beams, original windows and wood floors. Incorporating custom millwork and a heart-of-pine bar top fabricated from wood salvaged during the construction. We built a living room-like series complete with couches, chairs and coffee tables to give it a more laid back feel.
With a budget of about $3 million, Gettys made the Graveyard Tavern a cornerstone in East Atlanta Village. A music destination where Atlantans gather to enjoy great food, drinks and music. Graveyard Tavern won Best Under The Radar Restaurant in Creative Loafing, 2010.
