Designer II

Position Summary

With guidance, the Designer II performs in a self-directed manner all aspects of the Interior Design process including preparation of materials, schematic design, design development, contract documentation, rendering and construction of administration activities within an established budget with specific scheduling, site and programmatic requirements.



  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited or NAAB-accredited program
  • Minimum 2 years of professional post-graduate Design experience, preferably within the Hospitality Industry
  • Currently LEED® AP or willing to become certified within two years of hire
  • Intermediate experience with construction materials and FF&E specifications/providers
  • Intermediate experience in project design specifications, construction documentation production, material selection and shop drawing review
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (current office release preferred), InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Understanding of specification writing (SPEXX experience preferred)
  • Understanding and knowledge of design principals, theories, color and materials
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Self-directed and motivated
